Voice actress and content creator Inka Magnaye fired back at a social media user who linked her to the flood control corruption, citing her former relationship with a government employee.
On Sunday, March 15, Inka posted a screengrab of a Facebook comment on her page showing an individual calling her out for her alleged silence on the corruption involving flood control projects.
Last year, issues surrounding the projects surfaced after government contractors and some lawmakers were accused of pocketing billions of pesos from initiatives meant to alleviate flooding in certain areas.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the agency responsible for implementing such projects, was placed under scrutiny.
Mat Crespo, who at the time worked as an engineer at the DPWH Iloilo, was romantically involved with Inka.
Inka, being the public figure between them, received flak for her supposed silence on the corruption issue, with some claiming she “benefited” from the public funds.
The content creator said she has spoken about the issue but stressed that she is only vocal about matters she has “personal experience” with, such as mental health and women’s empowerment.

But recently, her supposed “silence” was brought up again, prompting her to fire back with a response of her own.
“Awit sayo. Simula nung tikom ang bibig mo sa issue ng flood control dahil nasa DPWH BF mo, natabangan nako sayo. Knowing na sobrang mema at opinionated ka kahit sa maliliit na bagay,” the online user wrote.
Inka responded with the following:
“First of all, [it] would be nice if you stopped reminding me about my ex. Second, imagine na ‘yung ex ko ‘yung na-accuse, pero sakin napunta ang lahat ng hate na parang ako ‘yung nag-ta-ttrabaho dun sa DPWH? Na parang ako ‘yung nag-co-control ng galaw ng ex ko na hindi naman kami kasal?”
“Third, nag-post ako about it. Porket ‘di mo nakita,’ di ibig sabihin hindi ako nag-post. Fourth, wala akong magagawa kung ‘yan na ang opinyon mo sa akin, pero kung magagalit ka sa corruption, dun ka magalit sa kanila. Ni shopping haul video o mga branded na items wala ako, pero ‘yung galit niyo sakin, parang ako ‘yung nagnakaw.”
She also shared a screengrab of the comment on her Instagram Stories, stressing that she is “done with this.”
“You have a problem with my ex working in the government? Take it up with HIM, not me. He’s a grown man and he can tell you himself. I’m not his spokesperson, I’m not his wife, I’m not his keeper, I’m not his caretaker,” Inka said.
“There are people out there who were friends with the children of corrupt contractors, but you’ve already let them live their lives, so why keep punishing me for an accusation that wasn’t even directed at me? I’m fkn done with this,” she added.
In a video, Inka revealed that she and Mat were no longer together as of December 2025.

Flood control project corruption issue
Meanwhile, the flood control corruption refers to the scandal that plagued the country in 2025, when contractors such as the Discaya couple and former lawmakers like Zaldy Co were accused of pocketing funds meant for flood control projects.
The issue has resulted in the arrest of Sarah Discaya, who had attempted to run for office in Pasig City.
Other key figures in the controversy have yet to face accountability.
The DPWH said on March 13 that it will continue filing charges with the Ombudsman against its officials and personnel allegedly involved in the flood control corruption.
Reports said that over 40 people, including at least 20 personnel and officials of the DPWH, are facing graft and corruption charges following the scandal.
The Palace said that the Ombudsman and the Department of Justice are still conducting preliminary investigations into the cases that were submitted or recommended for filing.
