“Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino shared an update with her followers about her personal life as she continues to battle 11 autoimmune conditions.
On Saturday, November 1, the showbiz personality posted a picture on Instagram showing herself in bed with her eldest son, Joshua, while her youngest, Bimby, sat at a table beside her.
Kris began her post by sharing her benchmark for what makes a place prosperous, noting that it depends on the number of thriving businesses and services readily available to locals.
She then hinted at relocating somewhere by November 13 and provided updates about her personal life.
Kris shared that she gets into their Toyota Grandia Elite with assistance, her nurse helps pull her up from inside the vehicle, while Bimb, who stands behind her, helps push her.
“Super struggle and for a few days, painful [in] my knees and lower back,” she wrote.
The former host also shared that she now needs a wheelchair and avoids sun exposure.
Kris likewise mentioned that she now bathes while seated.
She also hinted at going out in public, adding that she is not a snob and will gladly accommodate photo requests if people recognize her.
“If you see someone in a colorful mask, an orange wheelchair, shopping for groceries and toilet paper — that’s me, hindi ako snob,” Kris said.
“My nurse will have ethyl alcohol and a yellow mask if you want a picture. I [love] S&R…” she wrote, referring to a membership-based retail warehouse club chain in the country.
Kris also shared that she will now sleep in her late brother’s room, which she said “gets the least light,” making it suitable for her current health condition.

The showbiz personality’s last post was on October 25, where she shared updates about her sons’ lives and mentioned the need for licensed physical therapists, male caregivers, male nurses and a chef “aware about nutritional needs and calorie counting, as well as portioning.”
Kris was diagnosed with 11 autoimmune conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), systemic sclerosis or scleroderma, lupus (SLE), fibromyalgia, polymyositis, and mixed connective tissue disease.
She has since taken a hiatus from showbiz to prioritize her fragile health.
An autoimmune disease occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, perceiving them as foreign invaders such as bacteria and viruses.
