Award-winning actress Kathryn Bernardo is set to be immortalized at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, joining the roster of Filipino celebrities who have received this honor.

The multi-awarded star, who began her acting career at the age of seven, has grown into a household name both in the Philippines and across Asia.

With her well-loved films and TV series such as “She’s Dating the Gangster,” “Got to Believe,” “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” “The Hows of Us,” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” Kathryn has earned the title of “Phenomenal Box-Office Queen.” Her most recent film, “Hello, Love, Again,” a sequel set partly in Hong Kong, recently made history by crossing the P1 billion mark in global box office sales, the highest ever for a Filipino film.

This new wax figure marks a milestone in Kathryn’s already storied career.

“It’s a dream come true to have my own wax figure, and I’m grateful to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team for their trust in me,” she said.

“I’m excited for my fans worldwide to visit and interact with my twin, especially since it’s such a meaningful milestone for me,” the actress added.

Kathryn joins the ranks of other Filipino figures at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, including beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, and actress Anne Curtis.

Wade Chang, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, said the decision to include Kathryn reflects the museum’s growing connection to the Filipino audience.

“We value our Filipino market and aim to provide them with an unforgettable experience at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong,” Chang said.

“Kathryn is an inspiring artist who has worked tirelessly to achieve her success. At Madame Tussauds, we honour excellence with a global impact, making Kathryn the perfect choice for our next Filipino wax figure,” the exec added.

The wax figure is expected to be unveiled in 2026.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong earlier teased Kathryn’s inclusion with a video of her silhouette that caught Filipinos’ attention.

“Can you guess who our next superstar from the Philippines is based on the following clues?

She started her acting career at the age of 7
She starred in the first Philippine film to hit 1 billion pesos worldwide!” the post reads.

For the sculpture, Kathryn underwent a sitting session last August, where detailed measurements and reference photos were taken by Madame Tussauds’ expert artists.

Once completed, her likeness will be displayed alongside international stars such as Rihanna, Johnny Depp and Robert Pattinson.

Kathryn’s inclusion reflects her international reach, with a fan base extending to countries like Vietnam, Thailand, and South Korea. In 2020, Forbes Asia named her one of the most influential celebrities on social media in the Asia-Pacific region.
