Filipinos had a field day when comedian Michael V teased his upcoming impersonation of contractor Sarah Discaya in the the long-running comedy show “Bubble Gang.”
On Tuesday, September 9, the veteran impersonator reposted a Facebook Reel from the show, which featured him walking onto a set with his back to the camera, hinting at his latest parody character.
“Hmm…” Michael V wrote with a thinking face emoji.
His post has garnered 168,000 laugh reactions, 7,300 shares, and 3,500 comments from Filipinos, who expressed amusement at the comedian’s new character.
“The most awaited!” a Facebook user commented with laughing emojis.
“New Character Unlocked,” another wrote.
“The concept of comedy is going back!!!” a different Pinoy exclaimed.
“The long wait is over. Our favorite singer sa hearing, hahahaha,” another commented.
“The parody that we have been waiting [for],” a different Pinoy wrote with a laughing emoji.

Michael V’s upcoming parody character was named “Ciala Dismaya.”
“Ang pinag-uusapan ng lahat, pinangalanan na! Ciala Dismaya, handa nang magsalita,” the show said, sharing a photo of a dressed up Michael V.
Michael V is impersonating Sarah, a government contractor whose firm secured one of the highest number of flood control projects in the country.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. previously flagged the lack of key details in many flood control projects awarded to government-funded contractors.
Sarah, along with her husband Curlee Discaya, recently earned headlines for owning nearly 40 luxury SUVs and rare imported cars.
She has been attending Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearings, which are investigating alleged anomalies in flood control projects amid widespread flooding this rainy season.
When pictures of her attending the hearing first circulated online, many Filipinos joked that she bore a striking resemblance to Michael V, sparking laughs and eventually inspiring the comedian’s parody.
“‘Di mo kami maloloko, Michael V,” a Facebook user said before.
‘”Di mo kami maloloko, Michael V. Hiyang-hiya naman kami sa’yo,” another user wrote.
Another online user shared an image of Sarah during one of the Senate hearings and wrote, “Hindi mo kami maloloko, Michael V!”
