Philippines’ trade deficit at $5.97 billion in April

 The Philippines posted a trade deficit PHTBAL=ECI of $5.97 billion in April, preliminary official data showed on Friday.

Imports PHIMP=ECI in April rose 22.4% to $13.2 billion from a year earlier, while exports PHEXP=ECI increased 6.3% to $7.2 billion, the Philippine Statistics Authority said.
