—The Philippines posted a trade deficit PHTBAL=ECI of $4.35 billion in September, preliminary official data showed on Thursday.

Imports PHIMP=ECI in September rose 2.1% from a year earlier to $11.6 billion, while exports PHEXP=ECI increased 15.9% to $7.25 billion, the Philippine Statistics Authority said.
