Philippines cash remittances up 2.9% y/y in May

 Cash remittances rose 2.9% in May from a year ago to $2.7 billion, the Philippine central bank said on Tuesday.

In the first five months of the year, cash remittances through banks increased 3.0% from a year earlier to $13.77 billion.
