MANILA, Philippines — As tropical storm Salome (international name Haikui) left the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday morning, the state weather bureau spotted a new low-pressure area 875 kilometers east of Davao City.

The trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Caraga, Davao and Soccsksargen regions, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

Moderate to strong winds will prevail over Luzon, making coastal waters moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, Pagasa said.
