“Buko” singer Jireh Lim surprised a couple when he took a Facebook post about a pregnant woman’s cravings seriously by giving the mother-to-be young coconuts.

The singer-songwriter responded to a post by Kevin Hermosada, a content creator, who shared that his wife’s cravings were for young coconut, or “buko.”

“Guys, paano ‘to? Gusto daw ni buntis ng buko pero si Jireh Lim daw mag-aabot,” Kevin wrote on Saturday, June 27, adding a crying emoji.

The post also featured a photo of his wife, Abigail Campanano, with an unamused expression as she looked away from the camera.

Theories suggest that pregnancy hormones can heighten one’s sense of smell and taste, creating cravings and aversions.

An OB-GYN said that some theories suggest cravings “help the body make up for nutritional deficiency.”

“For example, you might crave ice cream when you need calcium, or crave fruits when you need vitamin D,” OB-GYN Brittany Janelle Cline said.

Jireh Lim to the rescue

The Facebook post eventually reached Jireh, who is well known for his romantic ballad “Buko (Buhay Ko).”

“Boss, baka makasama sa baby ‘pag hindi pinagbigyan ang naglilihi. Ano address???” the musician asked in a repost on Sunday, June 28.

Kevin was surprised that Jireh had noticed, admitting he was also “excited” about the exchange.

“TAKTE KAYO, HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA MUKHANG MAY MAGIGING MASAYANG BUNTIS HAHAHAHAHA,” he wrote in another post.

“Parang ako ata ‘yung na-excite,” Kevin added.

By Monday, June 29, Jireh shared a photo of himself in a car while holding a “buko.”

“Otw [on the way] na po,” he wrote.

Jireh later shared a photo of himself with the couple, including Abigail.

“Ayun, sana happy ang baby. Cravings satisfied,” the musician wrote, adding a grinning emoji.

Kevin also shared a video of the moment on his Facebook page.

“POV: Weird cravings ni misis, part two,” he wrote. “Buko ni Jireh Lim.”

Abigail, for her part, said that she “prepared” for the moment by not drinking water beforehand.

Kevin, meanwhile, was grateful that Jireh was able to grant his wife’s “weird” cravings as a pregnant individual.

Jireh also amused them by singing short parts of his song when Abigail finally took a sip from the “buko.”

The artist is known for his 2013 hit song, which went viral after he initially uploaded it to YouTube.

He said that “Buko” was inspired by his grandparents’ love story.

The song talks about an individual’s deep affection and devotion to his lover.
