A Filipino food chain known for its Litson Manok has returned to a food delivery platform after an almost decade-long absence.
Food delivery platform foodpanda said Andok’s remained among the most-searched brands on its app despite being unavailable on the platform for eight years.
“Andoks is a well-loved brand. Having them on the platform just gives us even more capability to serve Filipinos the food that they want,” Patricia Jacinto, marketing and growth director of foodpanda Philippines, said during the Pista ng Sarap: Pambansang Salo-Salo on June 18.
“And what’s amazing is because they have so many branches. It’s really our local brand. It’s easy to serve within 30 minutes, 20 minutes. Hindi siya ganun kalayo ‘yung branches niya,” she added.
According to Maverick Leonardo Javier, president of Andok’s Litson Corporation, the partnership with the delivery platform provides tools and services aimed at making food ordering more convenient for customers.
“Since the advent of the pandemic, I think that’s when Foodpanda really went to a meteoric rise as well kasi people realized like ‘hey, you know what? We’ll pay extra for convenience,’” he said.
Both companies also said they plan to expand their services in the coming years.
Javier said Andok’s aims to increase its number of branches to more than 1,000, while Jacinto said foodpanda plans to expand its grocery services.
“They’re gonna expand. That’s their promise. We’re gonna expand. That’s my promise. We’ll keep it consistent as much as possible. By that, I mean their quality in our service. And I’m sure they will do the same,” Javier said.
To mark the partnership, foodpanda and Andok’s launched a comeback promotion offering discounts on selected menu items. The offer runs until June 30 and includes discounts.
Andok’s currently has around 300 branches nationwide, while foodpanda Philippines operates in 192 cities and municipalities.
