A son used artificial intelligence (AI) to turn his mother’s old photos into a film as a gift for her 60th birthday.
An online user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a video from Franklin Miano, a content creator, who used AI to create an unforgettable gift for his mother.
The AI-generated film shows his mother finding a watch and turning it on, revealing the option, “Would you like to go back in time?”
She then presses “Yes” and is taken back to her younger self, where she meets her husband and they start their own family.
“My 60th Birthday Gift to my mom!” Miano wrote in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, Miano’s post has garnered over 828,000 likes and reactions, 55,000 shares and more than 26,600 comments, with some online users saying this is how such technologies should be used.
“Beautiful creations. Best way to use AI,” an online user wrote.
“What a great idea, might do something similar for my parents’ 50th anniversary next year!” another X user wrote.
“Now that’s the best use of AI I have seen in a while,” another commented.
“I love how happy she is,” a different X user shared.
Nowadays, AI is sometimes used to create deepfakes, which can trick people by using photos or videos of famous personalities or individuals and incorporating them into content that may be used for scams.
Such activities have contributed to a negative perception of generative AI, which can create content such as text, images, music and videos.
