
A video of an individual pocketing rice from a Filipino restaurant offering unlimited servings has gone viral among the international community.
A non-Filipino X (formertly Twitter) posted the video on Sunday, March 22, showing a customer grabbing a handful of rice at a Mang Inasal branch and placing it in a plastic bag hidden in a seat under a seat after the server walked away.

The post has garnered 10 million views, 16,000 likes, 1,100 reposts and 1,500 replies, with many comments from Filipino users.
“Mang Inasal spotted,” a Pinoy wrote.
“Kairita talaga mga ginagawa ng mga Pinoy just for clout,” another commented.
Non-Filipinos also weighed in on the post.
“You’re not supposed to eat rice that’s been sitting in room temperature conditions past, like, 2-3 hours. You can get very sick. Hope he’s going right home to refrigerate that. Also, couldn’t bring a latex glove for that? Bare hand all over his food?” an online user wrote.
“This isn’t a loophole but theft,” another commented.
