Television host Kim “Kuya Kim” Atienza once again reached out to a social media user struggling with mental health as she shared her need for a psychiatrist.

On Monday, March 16, the TV personality came across a post by Threads user Mayang (@mayangyangs_), who was looking for a psychiatrist for consultation.

“Anyone na psychiatrist po? Need ko po consultation now, kahit online. Please,” she wrote in the “Thread” community.

Kuya Kim saw her post and responded, “I DM’d you. Tight hug,” referring to direct message.

Mayang later shared parts of her direct messages with the TV personality, expressing gratitude to him for his kindness at a time when she “felt so weak and lost.”

“Kuya Kim, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart,” she wrote.

“What you did didn’t just help me financially — you gave hope and comfort to someone who was silently fighting her battles. I will never forget this moment. May God bless you even more for the compassion you showed today. What may seem simple for you meant so much more to me,” Mayang added.

In their conversation, Kuya Kim expressed his willingness to pay for her consultation. He also urged her to “schedule an appointment ASAP.”

“I hear you. It’s hard,” he told Mayang.

“Salamat po sa inyong lahat. Mahal na mahal ko po kayo dito sa Threads,” Mayang said in another post.

This was not the first time Kim had reached out to a social media user struggling with mental health.

Earlier this month, the TV personality invited a Threads user to watch him live as a “TiktoClock” host after the user shared that he was struggling to cope with life.

The Threads user accepted the invitation and later expressed his gratitude to Kim, saying that the latter “saved a life.”

“Thanks for the words, time, and effort to see me @kuyakim_atienza,” the Threads user said before.

Kuya Kim lost his youngest daughter, 19-year-old content creator Emman Atienza, to suicide in October 2025.
