Is there really an alcoholic beverage in the local market with a matcha flavor?
On March 7, a Facebook user posted a picture of a Tanduay drink labeled “Tanduay Matcha Spirit Cream.”
The bottle also bore a “Matcha Gold Seal” label on top.
“You really just combined being a DRUNKARD and a MATCHA LOVER all at once! HAHAHAHAHAHA Hayufff,” the Facebook user exclaimed.
The post has garnered 1,600 comments and 7,500 shares from online users, who tagged other Facebook friends.
“Anu kaya lasa nito, hahaha,” a Facebook user wrote, tagging their friends.
“Matcha lover ka ‘di ba? Parang ma-bet mo ‘to HAHAAHAHHA,” another Facebook user wrote, tagging a friend.
However, a closer look at the image reveals the logo of Google Gemini, an AI tool that can generate images.
A check of Tanduay‘s official website also shows no matcha-flavored product.
The only flavored drinks listed are from the Tanduay Cocktails variant, which includes Strawberry Daiquiri, Green Margarita, Piña Colada, Amaretto Sour and Black Russian.
