A case of a patient requesting a priority lane at an obstetrics (OB) clinic drew attention online.

On Monday, March 9, a Threads user shared her experience visiting an OB clinic at an undisclosed location in the “Mom Threads” community.

She recounted that the clinic had a long queue of patients, and one of them reportedly asked the doctor’s secretary, “Ma’am, wala bang priority lane dito?”

The post quickly went viral, sparking discussions about clinic etiquette and patient behavior in public healthcare settings.

The secretary replied, “Ay, ma’am, buntis kayong lahat. Kung sino naka-sched [schedule], siya ‘yung mauuna.”

The post has garnered 7,700 likes and 142 replies, with several Filipinos sharing similar experiences in the thread.

“Hahaha, sa ER [Emergency Room] nga po eh, sabi, wala bang SENIOR [or] PWD lane dito,” another said.

It also reached a Reddit community, where it garnered 4,700 upvotes and 172 comments, mostly from Filipino users sharing their own encounters.

“Tawang-tawa ako sa drugstore. Not sure if it was Mercury or South Star. Senior ako,'” a Redditor said.

“To be fair, dyed dark brown ‘yung buhok ng nakatayo. Pero pag-ikot, mukha pang mas matanda. ‘Nauna ako. Senior din ako, g*go.’ Siyempre, kaming nag-iintay sa ibang pila, natawa. Pati ‘yung cashier natawa,” the online user added.

“Overheard this when I drove my lola to the bank. It happened sa LandBank. May pumasok na senior demanding na siya na unahin at senior siya,” another Redditor said.

“The guard respectfully said, ‘Nay, lahat po kayo dito senior.

Normally, pregnant women, senior citizens, and people with disabilities (PWDs) are prioritized in services due to their condition.

Meanwhile, an OB clinic is a health facility that provides care for pregnancy, childbirth, and the health of women before and after giving birth.
