Food content creator Abigail “Abi” Marquez, also known as “Lumpia Queen,” shared her reaction after appearing in British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay‘s Netflix docuseries.
The online personality posted a reaction video to her appearance in the fourth episode of “Being Gordon Ramsay,” which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the chef as he embarks on an ambitious cooking project.
The docuseries gives viewers a glimpse of Gordon as he attempts to open four restaurants and a culinary academy at the 22 Bishopsgate skyscraper in London.
Abi, the content creator whom Gordon had previously dared to make a Beef Wellington lumpia, was featured in the fourth episode.
“With three weeks till launch, Gordon goes to extremes to promote 22 Bishopsgate. Later, he jets to the Philippines for a chaotic yet inspiring opening,” the episode summary on Netflix’s website read.
Abi was invited to a watch party for the docuseries at the Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill at Newport World Resorts, where she filmed her reaction to meeting the iconic chef.
“Young Abi would never believe this (loudly crying emojis) thank you for your generosity and uplifting young cooks, Gordon Ramsay!” she wrote on social media.
In January 2025, Gordon surprised Abi when he suddenly left a comment on one of her TikTok videos.
At the time, the Pinay had uploaded a one-minute clip of herself making crab cake lumpia.
“But can you do it with a Beef Wellington???” Gordon wrote.
Beef Wellington, considered Gordon’s signature dish, consists of a beef tenderloin wrapped in layers of pâté, duxelles (a finely chopped mushroom mixture), parma ham and puff pastry, then baked.
Abi took on the challenge and had Gordon taste her creation, prompting him to exclaim that he “f*cking loved it.”

Gordon also described her creation as a “very, very posh spring roll.”
Abi is known for her creative twists on Filipino dishes, often using spring roll wrappers in innovative ways, an approach that earned her the nickname “Lumpia Queen.”
