A fried chicken business was asked about the outcome of its online gimmick after it posted content unrelated to its viral “Zero Like Challenge.”

The Facebook page of 24 Chicken, a homegrown brand offering Korean-style boneless chicken, previously gained attention for its “Zero Like Challenge,” in which whoever’s comment on its Facebook post received zero likes could win a free “Half and Half.”

The “Half and Half” is a menu item that lets customers choose 14 pieces of fried chicken in two flavors and costs P520.

The brand said that comments with no likes “within 24 hours” would win the challenge.

More than 24 hours have passed, yet the brand’s latest post made no mention of its viral gimmick. Instead, it featured a promotional post.

“Isang kagat pa lang, alam mo na kung bakit babalikan mo ulit. Crispy at sakto sa pang araw-araw na cravings!” 24 Chicken said.

“Sinong nanalo sa 0 [zero] likes niyo?” a Facebook user asked.

“Ano na, 24 Chicken Korean Boneless Fried Chicken?” a Facebook user asked, in another comment with a laughing emoji, tagging the business.

“Wala… [ang] sasama ng ugali ng mga tao dito,” a different Pinoy commented with grinning emojis.

“Joke lang talaga ‘yung nasa post,” the Facebook user who initially asked about the challenge commented back.

Meanwhile, another Facebook user shared a screenshot of their comment that had received no likes and tagged the chicken brand to draw its attention.

“24 Chicken Korean Boneless Fried Chicken, baka naman, hahahahahaha [zero] likes within 24 hours,” the Facebook user wrote with laughing emojis.

Facebook remains the most widely used social media platform in the Philippines, with users actively engaging through comments, shares, and reactions such as likes.

Filipinos are also known for their frequent interactions on posts, making challenges that rely on refraining from engagement difficult to pull off.
