Pantone‘s announcement of the Color of the Year 2026 has inspired a trend among various entities on social media.

Pantone, globally recognized as the leading source of color expertise, selected the “Cloud Dancer” as the defining hue of the year 2026, describing it as a shade that “acts as a whisper of calm and peace in a noisy world.”

Also known as “PANTONE 11-4201,” the Cloud Dancer is described as a “lofty white neutral” with an “aerated presence.”

“Cloud Dancer symbolizes a calming influence in a society rediscovering the value of quiet reflection,” the color authority said.

“A billowy white imbued with serenity, it invites true relaxation and focus, allowing the mind to wander and creativity to breathe,” Pantone added.

“In motion and in pause, Pantone Color of the Year 2026, PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer drifts between light and ethereal, a living calm that invites renewal, vision in serenity and creative release,” it continued.

The highly anticipated announcement inspired some brands to highlight their services and products by connecting them to the Color of the Year declaration.

Goldilocks used the moment to promote “Classic Polvoron,” a Filipino-style shortbread cookie made with toasted flour, powdered milk, and sugar and butter flavor.

“Get inspired by the Color of the Year and feel like a dancer in the clouds with the #GoldilocksPH Classic Polvoron!” it said in a Facebook post, which has since gone viral with 38,000 likes and reactions and 1,400 shares.

A local clothing brand also took the chance to show off its items matching the Color of the Year.

“Fashion color of the year,” Cavitees Clothing said in a post.

“You know this is our staple color as an aesthetic girly! YOU. MUST. START. HOARDING NOOOWWWW!!” it added.

A boutique store also shared some apparel that matched the Pantone Color of the Year.

“Introduce the soothing elegance of ‘Cloud Dancer’ into your closet. As Pantone’s Color of the Year, this light, versatile hue mixes seamlessly with everything you already own,” Tid Collezione said.

A furniture store also told its patrons to “create” their “own Cloud Dancer–inspired designs” with its items.

“These furniture pieces show how beautifully this soft shade fits into modern homes,” Cozier said.

Another furniture store likewise promoted its pieces that fit the color theme of the year.

“From cozy sofas to chic dining chairs, we have a wide range of pieces dressed in this serene, creamy white. It’s the perfect shade to unify your space — clean, calming, and endlessly versatile,” Furniture Source Philippines said in a Facebook post.

A home improvement and construction material supplier also advertised some of its products.
