JAKARTA — Indonesia has issued a tsunami warning for northern Sulawesi and Papua regions after a strong earthquake hit the southern Philippines on Friday, Indonesia’s geophysics agency said.
The agency’s modelling suggested there was a risk of tsunami waves as high as 50 cm hitting Indonesia’s shorelines, it said in a statement.
