A handwritten note dropped in a suggestion box at what appeared to be a Land Transportation Office (LTO) branch has gone viral among Filipinos, drawing laughs and agreement online.

A Reddit user on Tuesday, October 7 posted a photo showing a transparent suggestion box with the logo of the Marcos administration and the LTO.

“DROP YOUR SUGGESTIONS HERE,” it stated.

Inside was a piece of paper with a blunt message: “KAMI NAGBABAYAD!!! DAPAT KAMI NAKA-AIRCON!!!”

The user shared the image in the “r/pinoy” community with the caption “Serbisyo sa tao,” lamenting, “Hanggang kailan tayo magtitiis na lagi tayong pinapahirapan ng mga nasa gobyerno?

Frustrations over comfort divide

The post appeared to highlight a common complaint among LTO visitors: staff work in air-conditioned booths while applicants wait outside under electric fans.

The viral post struck a chord with Reddit users, gaining over 6,000 upvotes, 120 comments, and one award. Many agreed with the anonymous suggestion, calling it “honest” and “relatable.”

“Boogsh! Ganyan ang suggestion. Straight to the point!” another user exclaimed.

In some government offices and establishments, there are “suggestion boxes” where the public can submit notes to air their comments and improve services.

A recurring complaint

The LTO, which handles driver’s licenses, motor vehicle registrations, and related fees and fines, is among the government agencies most criticized for long lines and slow service.

The agency and the Department of Transportation have repeatedly faced calls to improve service efficiency, including better infrastructure and online systems.
