An earthquake shook buildings when it hit Cebu on Tuesday evening, September 30.
CCTV footage shows homes being shaken by the tremors in Cebu at around 10 P.M. local time. Families who were sitting outside huddled together for safety.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the 6.9 magnitude quake was located 21 kilometers northeast of Bogo City, Cebu, at a depth of five kilometers.
It was felt at the following intensities:

- Intensity III – City of Legazpi, ALBAY; City of Iriga, CAMARINES SUR; Donsol, SORSOGON; Tibiao, ANTIQUE

Widespread damage to buildings was reported across the region.
Phivolcs said it is expecting damage and aftershocks following the strong tremor.
