An individual from a government agency offered a “rescue ride” to eight people whose bus broke down while they were on their way to work.

Rein Abalos of Cavite shared how they were able to report to their work despite their original vehicle breaking down at early dawn and heavy rain starting to pour on Monday, September 15.

“Madaling araw po nun nang masiraan ‘yung sinasakyan naming bus papuntang PITX [Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange],” Abalos said to automotive publication VISOR, which published the story.

To GSIS, please let him know we were very thankful to his good deed, and may God bless him even more. Mabuhay ka po, tatay!” the sender said.

Abalos also sought the help of VISOR to express their gratitude to the unknown GSIS worker who offered them a ride.

“Please help us send a very big thank you to the owner of Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number WNR 535 for giving us a rescue ride to work last Monday, September 15,” the sender said.

The heartwarming post has earned 4,500 likes and reactions and almost 150 comments from online users, including from someone who allegedly knows the driver.

“Mitsubishi Adventures (and drivers) are very reliable!” a Facebook user commented.

“Wow… Mabuhay ka, sir!” another user exclaimed.

“Marami pa rin Good Samaritan,” said a different Pinoy.

“He is my father-in-law, mabait po talaga ‘yan si papa kaya hindi siya nag-hesitate magpasakay, we love you, pa! More people to help at ingat lagi sa byahe, God bless po,” Philip Suñga commented.

It is not usual for drivers to randomly help a stranger on the road, especially in the metro where people are more cautious due to the prevalence of crooks and troublemakers in the populated region.
