Content creator Prince Umpad praised renters of his Airbnb unit in Baguio City that was left clean following its usage.
The internet personality on Sunday, September 14 shared that six guests of his transient home in the City of Pines looked after themselves and left the area neat and tidy.
“Sa nag-rent ng unit ko kahapon. 6 [Six] pax. Grabe! ‘Pag check ko sa unit, natapon lahat ng basura, malinis ang kitchen at dining, at naka-fold pa mga beddings at towels,” Prince said in a Facebook post, sharing pictures of the unit.
“Solid. Kung may Airbnb business ka, sana makahanap ka rin ng ganitong klaseng guest,” he added with a raised hands emoji.
“They also turned off the main lights kaya mga warm lights lang naka-andar,” the content creator said in the comments section of his post.
His post earned the attention of some Filipinos who praised the state of his Airbnb after it was rented.
“I used to be an Airbnb co-host [or] cleaner at the same time. Everytime may mag-check out — I’m praying na maayos ang unit. Yes, they pay for the cleaning fee, but super appreciate ‘pag malinis talaga pag-alis nila,” a Facebook user wrote.
“Mga may manners,” another user said, to which Prince responded: “Yes, and they maintained communication din, check in and check out.”
“Ganito kami ng family ko ‘pag nag-Airbnb. Malinis dinatnan, malinis na aalis. Kahit paid accom [accomodation] pa ‘yan, nakakahiya pa din na ‘di ka maglilinis. It says a lot about you,” said a different user.
In the past, there have been reports of Filipino Airbnb guests leaving the units they have rented in disarray or in a messy state.

Ground rules for Airbnb guests include treating the host’s home “like their own” and following the host’s standard rules, which may include guidelines such as not eating in the bedroom and keeping the bathroom floor dry.
According to Airbnb, guests should observe “cleanliness,” be mindful of their litter, and be prepared to compensate hosts should they damage any items during their stay.
“Guests should not leave the listing in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (moldy dishes, soiled carpets, stains from pets, etc.),” Airbnb said on its website.
An Airbnb rental is a property or unit that allows owners, or hosts, to rent the accommodation to travelers who do not want to pay pricier hotel bills.
