Crazed bargain hunters raced into a second-hand clothes shop or ukay-ukay at its opening time.
Footage shows the excited shoppers dashing and diving into a pile of scattered items to grab as many as they could in Legazpi City, Albay.
The men rummaged through long-sleeved shirts displayed on the racks, with some securing their finds by hiding them inside their shirts.
The video of the opening of Flora First Class Ukay-Ukay, Legazpi branch, was posted on Facebook on Nov. 20, 2023 and has since garnered 1.2 million views and 598 comments.
“Miming time,” store owner Maria Flora Etcobanez captioned her post.
Etcobanez said they are very happy with the outcome of the opening.
“When entering into business, many challenges will come. One should not lose hope but be diligent every day and pray always,” she said.
“It’s a mix of joy and excitement because what we planted is slowly bearing fruit, thanks to diligence, trust, and prayers to the Almighty,” Etcobanez added.
