MANILA — The Philippine central bank sees only a small chance of an aggressive policy tightening, its governor said on Tuesday.
“There is a chance, but only little,” Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli Remolona told reporters.
He also said the weakness in the peso reflected broader global currency depreciation against the U.S. dollar.
