An old post resurfaced featuring an advisory about a branch of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Laguna, sparking Filipinos to quip about comparing it to ChatGPT.
An account on the X (formerly Twitter) platform shared a picture of an advisory, which informs the public that there is no NBI branch in Calamba, Laguna. It reads:

It was shared by an X account on Sunday, August 17.
“Daig pa ChaGPT,” the uploader said.
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence (AI) program that generates dialogue. The chatbot, created by OpenAI, uses machine learning algorithms to process and analyze data to generate responses to user inquiries.

The repost has earned 2,700 likes and 446 reposts so far, with some Filipinos expressing their amusement in the comments and reposts.
“‘If-Then-Else Statement,’ Pinoy Style,” an online user wrote.
“Pinaka-effective way to answer the same questions over and over again,” another commented.
“Hahahaha, ay, eto ‘yung parang mahihiya ka magtanong talaga,” a different online user said.
The photo was first posted in the “r/Philippines” community on Reddit in 2018, when a Redditor uploaded the image with the caption, “Hindi ko alam.”
“At least malinaw na wala silang alam…” a Reddit user commented before with laughing emojis.
“Straight to the point,” wrote another Redditor.
According to the NBI’s website, there are two offices in Calamba City that process NBI Clearances, specifically in Barangay Parian.
These are located at Liana’s Supermarket and on the ground floor of the POEA Building.
Meanwhile, there is an office in Sta. Rosa which processes NBI Clearances, situated along Rizal Boulevard in Barangay Tagapo.
An NBI Clearance is an official document issued by the government to confirm that an individual has no criminal record.
It is typically required when applying for a job.
