Motorcycle owners who have yet to receive their license plates are invited to join the Plate Distribution Caravan launched by the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

The LTO will distribute motorcycle license plates on Friday, August 8, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the fifth floor motorcycle parking area of SM City North EDSA.

Motorcycle owners are required to present the following when claiming their license plates:

  • Original and photocopy of the Official Receipt (OR) or Certificate of Registration (CR)
  • Valid ID of the motorcycle’s registered owner
  • Deed of Sale (if the motorcycle is not yet under the name of the one getting the license plate)

The LTO said the initiative is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon to expedite the distribution of license plates to the public.

The agency stressed that the caravan will only distribute license plates for motorcycles.

In the comments section, the LTO said that the Plate Distribution Caravan is only one of the many steps the agency will take to distribute the public’s license plates.

“Abangan lamang sa Facebook posts sa page na ito ang mga anunsyo para sa mga programang kapareho nito. Salamat po,” it said in response to a Facebook user.

Last month, the LTO launched a new platform designed to ensure the release of license plates within 72 hours to eliminate delays, reduce instances of red tape and deliver a more efficient public service.
