A British Pan-Asian diner brand is set to make its Philippine debut by the end of 2026, marking the latest addition to a growing wave of international restaurant concepts entering the local market.

The brand, wagamama, is a British-born Pan-Asian diner set to enter the Philippine market under The Bistro Group, which has been steadily broadening its portfolio of international and local concepts, including recent launches such as Morton’s The Steakhouse, Fogo De Chao, Dave & Buster’s and Dessert39.

“Our goal has always been to give Filipino diners a front-row seat to globally celebrated cuisines,” Jean Paul Manuud, president of The Bistro Group, said.

“We believe that wagamama’s British take on soul-satisfying Asian flavors and modern social dining vibe will resonate deeply here.”

Founded in London in 1992, wagamama has grown into a global chain with more than 200 restaurants across 18 countries, built around Asian-inspired dishes served in a communal, modern dining setting.

Its philosophy centers on “nourish all, from bowl to soul.”

The menu features ramen, teppanyaki, curries, salads, juices, and shareable plates, emphasizing fresh, fast and nourishing meals.

Francisco Neves, Senior Vice President of Franchise + Partnerships at wagamama, said they are excited to join forces with The Bistro Group.

“Their understanding of the local restaurant landscape, combined with a shared passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, made them a natural partner for us,” Neves said.

“The Philippines marks an important step in our international growth journey and gives us the opportunity to introduce more guests to the fresh flavors, vibrant atmosphere, and distinctive dining experience that makes wagamama so special.”
