Bank Bar, one of Manila’s most celebrated speakeasy-style cocktail bars, is closing its doors after a decade of service, marking the end of an era for the city’s nightlife scene.

In a Facebook post announcing the closure, the bar in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, reflected on its journey since opening its hidden doors 10 years ago.

“Ten years ago, we opened a secret door that led to countless cocktail-filled evenings. We set out to create a hidden sanctuary that felt both exclusive and alive,” the bar wrote.

“While it is the end of an era, reaching this milestone feels like the natural point to conclude the Bank Bar story,” it added.

The bar thanked its patrons for being part of its run, adding, “Thank you for being the most essential part of an unforgettable decade. Cheers to you, and all the tipples we shared here together.”

According to the post, Bank Bar’s “banking hours” will officially end on Dec. 27, 2025.

In a separate image shared online, the bar invited guests to visit one last time before it closes permanently.

“As we mark 10 years, we’ve been reflecting on the countless nights, conversations, and memories shared behind our hidden entrance,” the post read.

“Before we say goodbye, we hope you’ll stop by for one last drink and help us toast to the moments that made this ride unforgettable,” it added.

The announcement prompted an outpouring of reactions from patrons, many of whom shared fond memories of the establishment.

“Epic nights spent here,” one Facebook user commented, while another called it “the best speakeasy bar in the country.”

Others simply wrote, “End of an era.”

“Dami kong memories d’yan,” a Facebook user wrote

“Sad to hear this!” another commented.

Known as a top-shelf drinking den, Bank Bar built a reputation for having one of the widest selections of spirits in Manila. It was also named by CNN as “one of the most intriguing speakeasies in the world.”

Among its must-try offerings were signature cocktails such as the Mariang Bastos and Pinay Colada, small-batch craft cocktails, a customizable gin-and-tonic cart, and popular bar chow like the Cheech Flores.

Bank Bar operates under the Moment Group, which manages several well-known dining and nightlife concepts in the country.
