As the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo film festival nears, the official Top 15 shortlist for the festival’s full-length category has been released.
This year’s selection represents a diverse group of filmmakers, from emerging voices to seasoned visionaries, featuring movies with a wide variety of genres and themes, including drama, comedy and social commentary.
“The list features both emerging new filmmakers and well-established industry icons vying to be a part of the upcoming festival. Seven of the semi-finalists will move on to be part of the final line-up and receive the highest production grant in Philippine film festival history,” the festival’s announcement read.

Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold’s Senior Marketing Manager and Festival Chair, shared her excitement about the list.
“The 2026 Puregold CinePanalo line-up is a revelation to us at the festival. Only three years in, we’ve earned the attention and trust of some of the country’s most important filmmakers,” Hayagan-Piedad said.
“We are indebted to all the participants who entrusted their best-kept stories to us. We are humbled and extremely excited to make these dream projects a panalo reality,” she added.
As the competition progresses, these 15 filmmakers will now pitch their projects to a selection committee, who will ultimately choose seven films to receive the P5 million production grant, said to be the largest in Philippine film festival history. These films will be featured at the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival at Gateway Cineplex 18 from Aug. 7 to 18, 2026.
The festival’s track record of success continues to grow, having previously launched internationally recognized films like Kurt Soberano’s “Under a Piaya Moon” and Sigrid Bernardo’s “Pushcart Tales.”
