“Drag Den Philippines” dropped its official song and music video where Manila Luzon and local drag queens showcased their dancing skills.

“Drag Den Philippines” or “Drag Den with Manila Luzon” is a drag queen competition that is promoted as a locally-made show for Filipino audiences. It is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime on December 8.

Its theme song with its namesake and accompanying video was released on Friday, December 2, much to the surprise of Filipino drag queen fans.

“Oh lokooo! May MV na rin kami,” reads the post of “Drag Den Philippines” with a starry-eyed emoji.

The music video was also uploaded on Manila Luzon’s YouTube channel.

It showed Manila, the show’s “drag lord”, welcoming viewers to her underground den where the competition took place.

Her fellow judges were also presented there.

Miss Grand International Philippines 2016 Nicole Cordoves as the “drag dealer” sat on the left side of her throne. Internet personality Sassa Gurl as the “drag runner” sat on her right.

The only cast member who was missing in the video is Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray. Gray was introduced as the “drag enforcer” of the show.

The moment for the eight drag queen contenders to shine came during the song’s bridge.

They strutted their way to join Manila dance and lip sync on the makeshift stage and runway of the den.

Moreover, each contender was also given a solo scene to promote and project their looks to the viewers.

Local drag queen fans and enthusiasts quickly gushed over the song and the video production.

“Grabe the production!” one Twitter user said.

“Woooow drag den lumalaban HAHA,” another online user commented.

“SO SO SO GOOD! This is next-level perfection,” another online user expressed.

Prior to this, on December 1, “Drag Den Philippines” released its full trailer where the names of some of the challenges were teased to the audience.

It was also in this video that the judges and their witty “drag” designations were introduced to the contenders.

The eight drag queens who will be competing for the first-ever “Filipino Drag Supreme” are as follows:

  • Lady Gagita
  • Maria Cristina
  • Aries Night
  • Barbie-Q
  • Shewarma
  • Pura Luka Vega
  • Naia
  • O-A

Viewers previously praised the show’s production team for being inclusive with the LGBT+ representation in the competition.
