Alt-rock band Sleep Alley has announced that it is officially closing its chapter as a band following the passing of its member Aly Pagaduan.

In a statement posted by members Jude Daluz, Kyle Tesalona and Michael Abogado on Sunday, May 31, the group said it was “with great sadness” that they announced her death, describing Aly as more than a bandmate.

“Aly was more than a member of Sleep Alley, she was a part of the heart and soul of this band,” the group said.

The band said Aly’s influence went beyond music, as she helped shape both their sound and their shared experiences as a group. Her creativity, passion and artistry, they said, extended to fans who supported their journey.

“We will forever cherish the music she shared with us, the memories we created together, and the moments that shaped Sleep Alley into what it became,” the statement read.

“Her voice, spirit, and artistry will continue to live on through the songs we made and the people she inspired along the way,” the members added.

Following her passing, the group said it has decided to disband.

“In honor of Aly and everything she brought to Sleep Alley, we have decided to close this chapter of the band. We leave this as part of her legacy. A reflection of the music, memories, and journey we shared together,” they said.

Sleep Alley also thanked fans for their support throughout the years, saying their messages, attendance at shows, and continued listening meant a great deal to the band.

“To everyone who supported Sleep Alley throughout the years, attended our shows, listened to our music, shared our work, and believed in us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” the group said. “Your support meant the world to us, and we are deeply grateful that you were part of this journey with Aly.”

The band ended their statement by asking fans to remember Aly and her loved ones and to keep her memory alive through their music.

“Thank you, Aly, for the music, the friendship, and the memories. We will carry them with us always,” they said.

Sleep Alley has 345,418 monthly listeners on Spotify, with tracks such as “Di Naging (Tayo),” “Desperado,” “Pag-Uwi,” and “Habambuhay,” among others.
