
Jazz-pop artist Laufey amused Filipinos after a video of her with the mascot of the popular homegrown fast food chain went viral.
Social media users shared a clip of the “Lover Girl” singer walking through a corridor while the Jollibee mascot looked on from behind her.
Parts of the video were edited in black and white, while the music of “House” by Charli XCX and Cale played in the background.

The video has garnered 37,600 views, 2,900 likes and 357 reposts, with some online users expressing amusement in their reactions.
“SA JOLAUFEY… BIDA ANG SAYA!!!” an online user commented.
“I think Laufey should be a Jollibee ambassador,” another Pinoy said.
“Ang behave naman ni Jollibee, hindi ikaw ‘yan,” another commented, adding a grinning emoji.
“Awww, Laufey so cute, and Jollibee too,” an X user wrote with emojis.
“Bumalik talaga [siya] para kay Jabe,” another Pinoy commented, referring to a nickname for the famous red-and-yellow bee mascot.
Laufey visited the Philippines for a three-day concert for her “A Matter of Time” tour from May 26 to 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Jollibee the mascot also appeared off stage at her concert Thursday, May 28, at SM MOA Arena next to Laufey’s mascot Mei Mei when she chose a “best dressed” guest for her final performance in Manila.
During her stop in the Philippines, the Icelandic-Chinese musician also tried several Filipino snacks, including Choco Nut, turon, chips from Mang Juan, puto, pastillas de leche, ube ensaymada and lengua de gato.

In 2024, Laufey also tried some Filipino snacks during her “Laufey: A Night at the Symphony with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra” concert that year.
These included dried mangos and snacks such as Cracklings, Tomi, flavored polvoron, Potchi candies and Cheese Rings, among others.
She was also invited to try food from Jollibee, which she gladly obliged. The singer, along with her sister, sampled Chickenjoy, spaghetti and ube pie, with the pair saying that the fried chicken was their “favorite.”

In 2025, the account of Jollibee UK posted a video of featuring its mascot and called Laufey’s attention.
“Seriously though, Laufey, if you ever need some pick-me-up Chickenjoy, hit us up,” it said in a Facebook post.
Laufey previously shared that the Filipino audience is among the most memorable crowds she has encountered in her music career.
“When people ask me, where do you remember your fans the most? I always mention the Philippines,” she said in a 2024 interview.
“I remember playing here for the first time last year, and I was so shocked at the response. I used to play in rooms with four or five hundred people at its maximum capacity, but when I went to the Philippines — I found myself performing for 2,000 people all of a sudden!” the artist added.
Laufey has built a strong fanbase in the country, with her songs frequently played in coffee shops, department stores and pottery studios and other public places.
She is known for her tracks such as “From the Start,” “Falling Behind,” “Let You Break My Heart Again,” “Valentine” “Lover Girl” and more.
