Cup of Joe will headline a free public event in San Juan, La Union on April 17 as part of a beachfront activation featuring live music and on-ground activities.

Gates open at 3 p.m. at San Juan Beach Front in front of Laud Lounge and Monaliza Surf Resort. The program will include live performances, interactive segments, music mixes, activity zones, and a meet-and-greet session with the band.

Organizers said the gathering is intended as a space for young attendees to “connect, express themselves, and just be real—no pressure, just good vibes.”

The event is part of Tang’s “Get Refreshingly Real with Tang” campaign, which focuses on in-person engagement and shared experiences.

“Gen Z is redefining how they connect, with a stronger desire for experiences that are real, shared, and meaningful,” Karol Canlas-Apelo, Senior Category Marketing Manager for Tang, said.

She added that the activation aims to create a space where young people can “express themselves, build genuine connections, and enjoy refreshingly real moments together.”

Adrian Manlapig, Marketing Director of Mondelēz International Philippines, said, “Tang has always been part of everyday moments, but today, we’re embracing a more purposeful role—one that champions self-expression, authenticity, and real-life connection.”

“Through Tang Refreshing Rave, we’re creating spaces where people can come together, connect, and simply be themselves,” he added.

The event is free and open to the public.

‘Get refreshingly real’

Separately, Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado are featured in another “Get Refreshingly Real with Tang” campaign installment focusing on modern Filipino family life.

The couple, known for their blended family setup, shared reflections on parenting and shared responsibility at home.

“Walang lamang, walang kulang. Lahat sila, anak namin. Ang importante, ramdam nila na suportado sila at may kasama sila sa bawat moment,” Dennis said.

Jennylyn added, “Sa bahay namin, hindi kailangan pare-pareho kami para magkasundo. Mas importante na naiintindihan namin ang isa’t isa.”

Tang said the campaign highlights “moments that are messy, spontaneous, and real,” moving away from idealized portrayals of family life.

“Our ‘Refreshingly Real’ campaign is rooted in the belief that the most meaningful moments are the ones that are honest and unfiltered,” Canlas-Apelo said.

The brand said the initiative reflects how it continues to evolve its engagement with Filipino households, focusing on everyday shared experiences.
