DC Studios has unveiled the full trailer for “Clayface,” giving a closer look at its upcoming horror thriller centered on one of Gotham City’s best-known villains.
The trailer introduces Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, whose rise from a Gotham street kid to a Hollywood leading man comes to an abrupt end after he is left horribly disfigured by the actions of a local crime boss.
According to the film’s official synopsis, Hagen turns to an experimental treatment that restores his appearance but begins to affect his grip on reality, sending him “down a destructive path of all-consuming revenge.”
“Clayface” also stars Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.
The film is directed by James Watkins from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, based on characters from DC. Flanagan also developed the story.
“Clayface” is scheduled to open in Philippine cinemas on October 21.
The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and will open exclusively in theaters beginning October 21 in international markets, including the Philippines, before its North American release on October 23.
