In a touching moment, a group of mourners performed a dance tribute for a friend who had been a lifelong professional dancer.
Family and loved ones of Cheryl Garcia Mendoza, 59, gathered on the ninth day of her wake at a funeral home in Manila to offer one final dance in her honor.
Footage shows Deo Divinagracia and his colleagues energetically moving to upbeat music on October 12.
They can be seen performing the lively choreography in unison, smiling through every step as if taking part in a dance competition, a joyful send-off for their beloved friend.
“Last Dance pahabol sa pasiyam ni Cheryl Garcia Mendoza… Dinadaan na lang sa tawa dahil super masayahin siya, but we are missing Che terribly…” Divinagracia captioned his post.
The video, which aptly used “Last Dance” audio, has so far garnered 248,000 views, 1,400 likes, 15 comments and 54 shares.
“There could be no other perfect send off than this,” one commented.
Mendoza was a professional TV dancer from the 1980s and 1990s.
