In an adorable moment, a little boy tried to help a young girl put on her slippers during a school program.
The thoughtful toddler attempted to assist his classmate, who was dancing on stage, by bringing her footwear to her at the Mercedarian School in Quezon City.
Footage captured by Aleia Chua shows the preschooler, dressed in traditional Filipino attire, running toward the girl in a floral dress and picking up a pair of green flip-flops from the floor on August 29.
The boy then knelt down in front of her and placed the slippers before her, gesturing for the youngster to put them on.
The heartwarming gesture drew cheers from the crowd.
However, the visibly confused girl refused his help and even tossed the slippers aside while their classmates continued dancing a Filipino folk dance.
Undeterred, the persistent boy picked them up again, placed them back near her, and then walked away while the girl carried on with her energetic performance.
“The parents were shouting and I was curious, so I watched what was happening and saw this affectionate boy. He was so cute,” Chua said.
The video of Chua was also reposted by a vlogger on TikTok, who mistook the moment as part of the performance.
“Akala ko part ng sayaw ng Buwan ng Wika, hindi pala,” the uploader wrote.
