A simple act of kindness was caught on camera by Pat Gins (@gins704) on August 25.
In the video, Pat notices a kitten on the road with many vehicles passing by and decides to move it to safety.
Before he could act, a dog quickly rushed toward the kitten, gently lifted it with its mouth, and carried it to the side of the road to keep it safe.
“Nilapitan ng kasama ko para sana itabi, pero may aso na kusang nagtabi sa kuting,” Pat wrote in the video.
The uploader posted the video of the heartwarming moment on TikTok, so far garnering 1.7 million views, 327,800 likes, 13,000 saves and over 3,000 comments.

Several online users commented that aspin or Asong Pinoy (mixed breed dogs native to the Philippines) are typically smart and kind-hearted.
“Aspins are naturally smart talaga, di kailangan ng training na matagal para matuto,” a TikTok user said.
“Mabait talaga ang mga animals. Tao lang naman ang gumagawa ng di maganda sa kanila kaya sila nagiging wild/lumalaban,” another commented.
Others praised the dog for taking care of the stranded kitten and wished for his safety.
“Good job doggie. Sana safe ka din lagi sana may mag-alaga at masilungan ka,” a TikTok user wrote.
“This just made my day. I was so heartbroken for these past few days dahil sa magkasunod na pagkamatay ng mga rescued cat and dog ko. May all the stray/abandoned animals be in the safe hands,” another commented.
“Grabe ang pure talaga nila. I pray na sana kung hindi sila matulungan, sana wag na lang din saktan,” a TikTok user said.
