A brand-new trailer and poster have been released for “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the ninth and final entry in the massively successful “Conjuring” universe, which has terrified global audiences and grossed over $2 billion in theaters worldwide.
Directed by franchise mainstay Michael Chaves and produced by Conjuring architects James Wan and Peter Safran, the latest film promises to deliver one final chilling case based on real events.
The film was directed from a screenplay by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, story by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and James, based on characters created by Chad Hayes and Carey W. Hayes.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as Ed and Lorraine Warren, the iconic real-life paranormal investigators, for what’s being billed as their last case, bringing their decade-long journey in the horror saga to a powerful, haunting close.
“Now that the last ‘Conjuring’ movie is out, I hope Netflix will create a series featuring the haunted items from the Ed and Lorraine Warren Museum… Please (prayer emojis), it will definitely be a dream come true,” a fan said.
“The Conjuring: Last Rites” opens worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures and will be exclusively in theaters and IMAX in North America on September 5, and internationally, in Philippine cinemas on September 3.
