A brand-new trailer and poster have been released for “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the ninth and final entry in the massively successful “Conjuring” universe, which has terrified global audiences and grossed over $2 billion in theaters worldwide.

Directed by franchise mainstay Michael Chaves and produced by Conjuring architects James Wan and Peter Safran, the latest film promises to deliver one final chilling case based on real events.

The film was directed from a screenplay by Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, story by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and James, based on characters created by Chad Hayes and Carey W. Hayes.

Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as Ed and Lorraine Warren, the iconic real-life paranormal investigators, for what’s being billed as their last case, bringing their decade-long journey in the horror saga to a powerful, haunting close.

Farmiga and Wilson are joined by Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy, who take on the roles of Judy Warren, the Warrens’ daughter, and her boyfriend Tony Spera. The cast also features Steve Coulter reprising his role as Father Gordon, along with Rebecca Calder, Elliot Cowan, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, John Brotherton, and Shannon Kook.

“The case that ended it all,” the poster reads.

Meanwhile, the more than two-minute trailer has so far garnered 2.1 million views and 45 reactions on Facebook, and over 90,600 views on YouTube.
