Hong Kong is rolling out a mix of discounts, dining deals and large-scale events as part of its “Hong Kong Summer Fun” campaign, which runs until Aug. 31.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) said the campaign features over  around P150 million (HK$20 million) in retail and dining offers, alongside attractions and seasonal events aimed at both visitors and returning travelers.

A key draw of the campaign is a set of discounted attraction tickets, with selected passes cut by up to 50 percent through partnerships with Trip.com and Ctrip.

Travelers who book participating Hong Kong hotel stays with a minimum spend of about P11,250 (HK$1,500) for trips between July 1 and Sept. 14 can unlock discounted access to 19 attractions and transit experiences.

Among the participating offers are up to 50 percent off Ngong Ping 360 cable car roundtrip tickets and Big Bus Tours standard passes, as well as discounted racecourse tours and dining experiences with The Hong Kong Jockey Club.

The campaign also includes a citywide rewards system where visitors can scan QR codes in participating malls to receive digital cash vouchers worth up to about P3,850 (HK$500), redeemable at stores with Alipay+ support.

Additional promotions are being offered across more than 150 merchants in major shopping destinations, including discounts on retail items, dining credits, and entertainment perks such as museum entries, cinema tickets, and ice skating offers.

Food-focused deals form another major part of the campaign, with limited-time promotions such as HK$1 items including selected pastries and snacks, as well as HK$10 meal offers at participating restaurants. High-end dining promotions, including buy-one-get-one offers on tasting menus, are also part of the lineup.

Beyond shopping and dining, Hong Kong is also staging a series of summer events across the city.

These include Pixar-themed activities at Hong Kong Disneyland from June 12 to Aug. 31, featuring a new nighttime spectacular and character-driven experiences.

The Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival, running from June 19 to July 1, will bring over 200 international teams to Victoria Harbour, alongside food and entertainment areas along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront.

Other attractions include an Ocean Park panda-themed celebration running through Aug. 31, an interactive design exhibition at M+ Museum from June 27 to January 10, and an immersive installation experience at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal starting June 29.

HKTB said the campaign aims to encourage visitors to explore more of the city’s retail, dining and cultural offerings throughout the summer travel period.

“We’re looking at creating more reasons for travelers to experience Hong Kong beyond the usual attractions, through seasonal offers and events across different districts,” the board said.
