A major ticketing service has issued tips and reminders to concert and eventgoers to prevent losing their tickets.
On Wednesday, January 28, SM Tickets released an “ultimate survival guide” for concerts and events, focusing on lost-ticket prevention.
A ticket serves as a pass that grants the holder the right to enter a controlled event, such as a concert or festival, at a specific time and date. It also acts as proof of admission, authorizing entry under the event’s specified conditions.
SM Tickets emphasized that tickets must be handled with extreme care to avoid loss or mishandling.
“Bes, alam namin excited ka na. Pero bago ka mag-practice ng fanchants at mag-plan ng OOTD [Outfit Of The Day], siguraduhin muna nating makakapasok ka,” it said in a Facebook post.
“Hindi po kami nagre-reprint. Hindi kami tumatanggap ng ‘Nawala po ng pusa ko’ or ‘Naiwan sa Grab.’ Kung mahal mo ang event, ipaglalaban mo. Kung mahal mo ang pera mo, iingatan mo,” the ticketing service added.
It also provided tips for eventgoers on how to take care of their tickets, including proper handling and keeping them secure during restroom breaks.
“Tratuhin mong Jowa, ‘wag Resibo,” SM Tickets said in a post, adding that tickets should be placed in a “zip lock, clear book, or card holder” to ensure their safety and protection from weather elements and other risks.
It also described the ticket as the attendee’s “engagement ring for the night,” stressing that it should be kept safe until the event concludes.
“Remembrance din ‘yan ng best night of your life,” the ticketing service said.
The full post containing the guidelines can be viewed on SM Tickets’ Facebook page.
“Reminders lang ‘yan, mga mi. Huling-huli niyo kasi gigil namin ‘pag nawawala niyo mga ticket niyo eh, ta’s iiyak-iyak kayo sa venue. Labyu!” the ticketing service said in the comments section.
SM Tickets handles the issuance of tickets for events at the SM Mall of Asia Arena as well as other venues, covering live concerts, arts and music shows, sporting events, and theatrical performances.
The service also operates a full-service online ticketing platform and a dedicated customer care hotline for event-related inquiries and support.
