Japanese travel blogger Takumi Senpai has gone viral after posting a clip of himself eagerly searching for a Filipino dish he called “Pan Borikat.”
Unaware that in Bisaya (Cebuano), the word borikat is a vulgar slang term for “prostitute,” Takumi cheerfully compared the name to lipstick, leaving viewers both amused and cringing at the cultural misstep.
The video, shared on Instagram under the username Takumi Senpai, has garnered 285,500 views, 11,600 likes, 293 comments and 508 bookmarks on TikTok.
