A student tripped on stage while graduating – to win a bet with friends.
Jerricho Lopez faked a fall when he was called onto the platform to receive his diploma at Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Quezon City.
Footage captured by Lopez’s classmate Jazmine Rosse Osorio shows him stumbling on the floor, prompting faculty members to react in shock on August 28.
Guests and students can be heard gasping before laughing at the comical “mishap.”
He immediately stood up and continued walking towards the dean, beaming, while the professors laughed and shook his hand.
Lopez’s parents then posed for pictures with him at the side of the stage before coming down.
“Two of our classmates offered P100 each if he could trip on stage, which they thought he couldn’t do, but it looks like they were proven wrong,” Osorio said.
Osorio uploaded the video on TikTok where it garnered 108,600 views, 6,931 likes, 55 comments, 195 saves and 2,048 shares.
“Nilaro ‘yung graduation HAHHAHAHAA,” Osorio captioned her post tagging Lopez.

Many commented in jest about the comical “mishap.”
“Imagine nagpractice ka ng todo na sana wag madapa sa harapan pero sa mismong graduation ka pa nadapa. HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA,” a TikTok user wrote.
“Pinaghandaan niya yan talaga HAHAHAHA. buong graduation ang taas ng energy niya,” another commented in jest.
“‘Di naman po tatakbo yung diploma,” a Tiktok user also said.
Others thought it was a real fall, but Osorio clarified the act was only part of a dare.
