An upset dog owner confronted his canines, Jaero and Spot, to discover which four-legged culprit was responsible.
Footage shows Robert Solis approaching the pooches lounging on the living room floor on July 21.
He can be seen asking the Aspin dogs who mangled the utility statement, while Jaero and Spot wag their tails as if listening to their keeper.
“Sino nag-ngatngat ng resibo dito? lto o. Resibo ito ng water. Paano natin babayaran ‘to?” Solis asked.
Moments later, Spot, who had been sitting still, pointed his paw at his sibling, Jaero, when asked again who damaged the sheet.
The white dog, lying on its back with sprawled legs, then stood up in protest and extended its front limbs to point at his brother.
“Since they are both suspects in the mischief; they are accountable for what happened,” Solis said.
“My dogs are affectionate, but they can be naughty too—especially when I ask them to go upstairs after playing outside. Jaero, in particular, doesn’t always follow right away, but he’s slowly learning to come at just one call,” he said.
“At first, it was really difficult because they would make a huge mess. Over time, I’ve learned to coexist with the two of them here in the apartment. It can be frustrating to see, but I remind myself that they’re just kids, learning and having fun,’ the dog owner added.
The confrontation video between Solis and his dogs posted on July 21 has so far garnered 88,100 views, 4,600 reactions and over 270 comments.
In an update on August 19, Solis posted photos of a notice for disconnection, also ripped by his dogs.
“So eto na nga, may notice for disconnection na ako dahil sa hindi ko nabayaran yung previous month nung July dahil sa nginat-ngat nila yung receipt. Buti nalang nakaayos yung pagsabit ng water bill sa pinto ngayon kundi mapuputulan kami ng water,” he said.
Solis said the blame game continues.
“Wala e, parehas silang may kasalanan talagang magtuturuan nalang kung sino unang ngumat-ngat,” Solis also said in the comments section.
To address the problem, one Facebook user recommended putting up a mailbox or magnetic bulletin board out of reach of the dogs.
