Thailand records 30.6 million foreign tourists so far this year, up 29% year-over-year

 Thailand recorded 30.6 million foreign tourist arrivals from January 1 to November 17 and they spent 1.43 trillion baht ($41.3 billion), the tourism ministry said on Tuesday.

On Monday, state planning agency the National Economic and Social Development Council said 36 million foreign visitors were expected this year. There were 28 million visitors in 2023.

In 2019, before the pandemic, visitor numbers reached a record of nearly 40 million.
