Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen shared a message to aspiring lawyers as they wait for the results of the 2023 Bar exams to be released on Tuesday.
The former Bar chairperson on Monday, December 4 told examinees to “make peace” with their “god/gods” and to “prepare” themselves “for whatever result” they may obtain.
“Be humble. Learn patience. Learn how to be resilient. Be compassionate,” Leonen wrote on the X (formerly Twitter) platform.
“Serve our people. Do justice,” he concluded.

Leonen also advised Bar takers to “take the time to thank all those who helped you get to where you are right now.”

The Supreme Court is set to release the results of the 2023 Bar exams on Tuesday.
The list of successful examinees will be displayed on LED walls within the high court’s courtyard in Padre Faura Street in Manila from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
A total of 10,387 out of 10,791 aspiring lawyers took the three-day examinations last September.

The Bar is the qualifying licensure examination by the high court which tests aspiring lawyers’ knowledge of fundamental legal principles and basic skills required of an entry-level lawyer in the country.
It is the only qualifying licensure exam among skilled professionals that the Professional Regulation Commission does not conduct.
