A 30-year-old male resident of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan finally struck gold in the lotto after devotedly playing it for nearly a decade.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Monday, October 23 reported that a millennial hit the jackpot prize of P36,257,127.40 or P36.2 million in the 6/42 Lotto drawn on Sept. 7, 2023.
The millennial had a ticket with the winning combination of 03-31-15-19-10-27 that he brought from SM City Puerto Princesa.
He said that he has been playing the lotto for nearly a decade.
Players of the lotto must be at least 18 years old.
The millennial added that he plans to invest in real estate and start his own business. He also said he looks forward to a brighter future following his lotto win.
“Napakagandang biyaya nito para sa amin ng asawa ko. Sa katunayan po ay nagsisimula pa lang kaming bumuo ng sarili naming pamilya,” the lotto player said.
“Maraming salamat po sa PCSO sa mga ganitong pagkakataon na ibinibigay ninyo sa lahat ng kababayan natin na umaasa na may suwerteng darating sa buhay,” he added.
Lotto prizes exceeding P10,000 are subject to a 20% final tax in compliance with the provisions of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.
