‘Naka-energy drink’: Pinoys applaud Olivia Culpo’s improved ‘Miss Universe’ hosting

Filipinos cheered Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo‘s improved hosting during the latest edition of the pageant.

In 2021, Olivia earned online buzz as many perceived she “lacked energy” when she hosted the previous coronation night of Miss Universe.

A few days before the coronation night, Olivia made a meme of herself to poke fun at criticisms about her hosting skills.

On TikTok and Instagram, Olivia shared an edited video of herself riding a boat with “Titanic‘s” soundtrack “My Heart Will Go On” playing in the background.

On Sunday, January 15, Olivia once again became a hot topic on Philippine Twitter as many welcomed her improved hosting.

“Presenting @oliviaculpo powered by @redbull choz #MissUniverse2022 #71stMissUniverse,” an online user wrote

“Kabog ang energy ni Olivia hahaha bumawi si bading,” a Twitter user said

“So far consistent si Ate mo Olivia sa energy. #MissUniverse2022,” a social media user wrote

“Naka-energy drink si Olivia Culpo wow,” a Twitter user said

Apart from Olivia, Jeannie Mai Jenkins is also hosting the coronation night.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and American TV personality Zuri Hall are this year’s backstage commentators.
