A mall in Makati City advised the public that tickets for an upcoming event are not for sale.
Korean group ITZY will be holding an official “press event” at the Glorietta Mall’s Activity Center on January 13.
ITZY is a four-member female group comprising members Ryujin, Lia, Yeji, Chaeryeong and Yuna. They debuted under JYP Entertainment in 2019.
Last January 7, Glorietta announced that all tickets for this conference have already been redeemed.
“KAMSAHAMNIDA, MIDZY! All tickets are fully redeemed. We thank you for all your support,” the mall management said.
Midzy is the fandom name of ITZY.

The mall management later received reports that some ticket holders are selling their passes illegally.
In a statement on January 9, Glorietta stated that these tickets are not for sale. Tickets that will be flagged as “sold” will thus be forfeited from the owners.
“Hi, it has come to our attention that there are ITZY event pass holders who are illegally reselling their tickets. Please be reminded that these tickets are NOT FOR SALE. Tickets flagged as sold will be forfeited,” it said.

To guarantee access for legitimate ticket holders, Glorietta advised that it will conduct a verification process before a guest could enter the event.
“We call for your patience on the day of the event as verify ticket holder details and may request for identification cards upon entry. Please report any similar incidents. Thank you,” it said.
The mall management has yet to update details about how this additional step on the day of the conference will proceed.
This press event is for the quintet’s two-day concert “Itzy: The 1st World Tour ‘Checkmate’ in Manila” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 14 and 15.
The first show reportedly sold out a few minutes after it went on sale last November.
This prompted Live Nation Philippines to open a second day for Filipino fans.
Limited tickets are still available via SM Tickets.
ITZY is known for dance-pop songs “Wannabe”, “Dalla Dalla”, “In the morning”, “Sneakers” and “Loco.”
The five-member group also won big music awards in South Korea.
These include the “MAMA Award for Best New Female Artist” in 2019 and the “Golden Disk Award Rookie Artist Award” in 2020.”
