An old photo of journalist Karen Davila and actress Lyca Gairanod recreating their famous photo-turned-meme went viral anew a day after their birthday this year.
Pulmonary medicine fellow Jai Cabajar juxtaposed images of the two personalities, which showed the broadcaster looking at “The Voice Kids Philippines” first winner with a shocked expression.
“Nire-create talaga nila,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
His post has earned over 5,500 likes so far.

The pose initially appeared in Karen’s video feature of Lyca in August 2021, where the former first learned that she shares the same birthdate as the actress.
“Hindi ko alam ‘yun. Magka-birthday kami, Scorpio! That means magka-ugali tayo. We’re meant to meet! How many people ang makakatsamba mo, ini-interview ka, ka-birthday mo!” the broadcaster exclaimed before.
Karen’s reaction surprised Lyca who briefly scrunched her eyebrows and took a step back.
The moment has since been turned into a meme by social media users.

The picture was shared anew by Jai on Nov. 22, 2022, a day after the personalities’ birthday and a year after the viral moment became a meme.
His post amused Twitter users who shared their own reactions to the quote tweets.
“Hahaha ang kyut,” a Pinoy wrote.
“Omg naging bata [‘yung] bangka,” another Twitter user joked.
“Iconic,” a different Pinoy wrote with a sparkles emoji.
This year, Lyca celebrated her birthday — also her debut — with a photo shoot in Casa Foliage.
Karen, meanwhile, spent it by reflecting on her second bout with COVID-19, which happened before her birthday. She has since recovered.
